JANUARY: The Madison Chamber of Commerce rings in the new year with their Annual Holiday Party, hosted by a local Chamber restaurant. The event is open to both Chamber and non-Chamber members.

EASTER:  The Madison Chamber of Commerce celebrates Easter downtown with their annual Easter Fun Fest. 

Children and parents can collect stuffed Easter eggs at participating downtown businesses. There will also be an opportunity to visit the Easter Bunny and enter to win special prizes.

APRIL/MAY:  The Madison Green Fair is an annual street festival featuring educational exhibits, vendors, and games to promote sustainability, energy efficiency, and waste reduction.

MAY: May Day in Madison is a town wide beautification event, where 800+ volunteers fan out across our town to help clean up and improve our downtown, parks and other public spaces.For more information, please call Mara at 973-822-3900.

MEMORIAL DAY: Every year, Madison holds a ceremony in James Park to commemorate Memorial Day, featuring speeches from noteworthy individuals as well as musical performances. A parade processes from James Park to Hartley Dodge Memorial for a brief closing ceremony.

JUNE: The Madison Arts and Culture Alliance (MACA) sponsors the annual Madison Artist Studio Tour, featuring artists who live or work in Madison.

JUNE: The annual Morris Area Freewheelers Revolutionary Ramble Bicycle Tour starts at Drew University and is open to riders of all abilities.

JUNE: Arts Council of the Morris Area's fabulous Giralda Music and Arts Festival is held in Madison, NJ on the gracious lawns of Giralda Farms Corporate Park (the former Geraldine R. Dodge estate) and features a spectacular outdoor concert by The New Jersey Symphony Orchestra. For more information, please click here.

 JUNE-OCTOBER: The Madison Farmers' Market is every Thursday from June 6th - October 17th between 1-6pm and is located on Green Village Road in the heart of downtown Madison.

Every week 500+ residents come into town to see their neighbors, support NJ agriculture and see what the local merchants have to offer.

JUNE - SEPTEMBER:  We close off the street in front of the museum and bring great musical acts right to our downtown on Friday evenings over the summer, showcasing the best of local blues, jazz, rock, and folk.  A great family event.

AUGUST: At the beginning of each school year, Drew University welcomes all of its incoming freshmen with a walking tour of downtown Madison. The students are introduced to Madison's local businesses and Borough staff.

OCTOBER: Bottle Hill Day is the first Saturday in October and is Madison's biggest event, drawing over 10,000 people into the downtown for a day of fun, exhibits, crafts, activities and community.

OCTOBER: For one week in October, Madison restaurants offer special lunch/dinner menus at a special price to promote dining locally.

OCTOBER: Every Halloween, the Madison Chamber of Commerce hosts "Halloween Hoopla", an annual Halloween parade in downtown Madison, followed by a magic show and trick-or-treating for children at all of the local businesses.

NOVEMBER: The Madison Arts & Culture Alliance hosts the Madison Holiday Arts Festival, an annual festival in downtown Madison the Friday after Thanksgiving featuring performances and art exhibits at storefronts, restaurants, and businesses.

Enjoy art and music from local musicians, visual artists, actors, dancers and more!

NOVEMBER: On the Friday after Thanksgiving, Madison celebrates the holidays with a parade and Christmas tree lighting beginning at 5:30pm. Residents gather downtown to catch a glimpse of Santa and enjoy live music and extended shopping hours.
