Rose City Steppers: WHAT IS IT?
“Rose City Steppers” is a walking group sponsored by the Rose City Steppers Board and the Madison Health Department that encourages adults to be more physically active. Rose City Steppers work collaboratively with the Madison and Chatham Mayors Wellness Campaigns. Rose City Steppers walks and events are open to residents of Chatham Borough, Chatham Township, and Springfield as well as Madison.
WHEN ARE THE WALKS?
During the summer the Steppers walk every Wednesday night at 7:00 p.m., barring thunderstorms, driving rain, extreme heat or other dangerous conditions.
Steppers are also encouraged to set up their own walks and invite others in the group to join them. These "meet-ups" are easily arranged over the Steppers group email list. Contact email@example.com to add your name to the list.
WHY SHOULD I PARTICIPATE?
The evidence is overwhelming that being physically active results in better overall health and mental functioning, reduced risk of chronic disease, weight control, and a general feeling of well being. And, it’s fun!
For resources on starting, maintaining or adding new ideas for your health and fitness activities, please visit the links under "links" on the side bar.
WHERE DO I SIGN UP?
Anyone may attend the monthly walks. We recommend joining the Steppers email list. Sign ups are at any of the walks, the Health Department at 28 Walnut Street, or by sending an email request to firstname.lastname@example.org.
