Project Lifesaver

A program has been implemented by the Sheriff’s Office in an effort to provide enhanced support and assistance to primary caregivers for an individual suffering from Alzheimer’s disease or a related dementia disorder as well as families of children afflicted with Down syndrome, autism, traumatic brain injuries or cognitive impairments.

Crime Stoppers

This program provides an easy and anonymous mechanism for concerned citizens to report information relating to criminal activity…and offers cash rewards as an incentive.

Firearms Safety/Project Childsafe

Project ChildSafe is a nationwide program that promotes safe firearms handling and storage practices among all firearm owners through the distribution of safety education messages and free firearm Safety Kits. The kits include a cable-style gun-locking device and a brochure (also available in Spanish) that discusses safe handling and storage.

Fingerprinting Services

The Madison Police Department will provide ink-based finger print service to those who are given the Federal (blue) Applicant Card (FD-258) for employment purposes. These services will be provided during business hours Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 9am-2pm.

No-Visit List

Submitting this application will place the listed residence on the Madison's No-Visit List. All solicitors, peddlers, and/or canvassers within the Borough of Madison's limits must abide by the town's No-Visit List.

National Night Out

National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes strong police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer, more caring places to live and work. National Night Out enhances the relationship between neighbors and law enforcement while bringing back a true sense of community. The Police Assisted Addiction & Recovery Initiative (PAARI) program is designed to give individuals with substance abuse disorders a safe way to seek help for their addiction at a local Police Department.

Handle With Care Program

The program ensures that the child’s privacy is strictly protected and the details of the traumatic event are not shared with the school, and teachers are directed not to discuss the event with the child.
