Tax Bills Delayed

The Tax Collector cannot prepare bills until Morris County certifies the tax rate. Tax bills will be prepared and mailed as soon as possible after this information is received. As in years past, these bills will include the final payments for 3rd and 4th quarter of this year and preliminary payments for the 1st and 2nd quarter of next year.

Please note that you will have a minimum of 25 calendar days from the date of postmark pay your bill.

Residents that will be away during the summer when the bills are mailed have two options:

  1. First, you can pay your property taxes on-line at anytime from anywhere through “Online Bills” on Make sure you have your bank account and routing number as well as your property’s block and lot number;
  2. If that option does not work for you, then the Tax Collector can calculate an estimated bill that you can pay before you leave town.

If you have any questions, please call the Tax Collector’s office at 973-593-3056 or email

Thank you for your patience and understanding.
