Summer Nature Program, Nature Nuts, Program Counselor:

This is a 5 week program, Monday thru Thursday-9am until 2pm, from late June thru late July for children who completed 1st grade thru 6th grade. Program focuses on nature-oriented arts & crafts and environmental awareness. Some knowledge of environmental science a plus. Duties include but are not limited to: daily program prep and clean-up, assisting camp participants, and facilitating camp activities. Salary is $12.00 per hour. Internship - Environmental Students:
The Madison Environmental Commission seeks two students to assist with removal of invasive species, planting of native species, and building habitat for small mammals, birds, insects, and amphibians. There is also room to develop creative artistic displays using natural materials found onsite, photojournalism, and GIS mapping. Project description: The project covers 20-acres of which 5-acres are NJDEP regulated wetlands and the surrounding 15-acre forest. Position hours are 8am-12N Monday – Friday with a Thursday afternoon session at The Madison Farmers Market 1pm-4pm. Pay is $12.00 per hour. Waste Water Operator:
The Madison-Chatham Joint Meeting, an Equal Opportunity Employer, is seeking an Entry Level Licensed Operator for its Wastewater Treatment Facility. The applicant must also have the ability to obtain an S-1 License within 12 months of hire. The applicant shall operate various equipment and instruments used in the sampling, analysis, and processing of wastewater and biosolids. The applicant must also be prepared to respond to the facility for after hour emergencies within 30 minutes and possess a valid NJ driver’s license. The salary range is $40,000 to $50,000.
