Madison, NJ – August 4, 2022 – Madison Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance related to a motor vehicle crash involving a pedestrian on Main Street near Waverly Place in Madison, NJ.
At approximately 5:20 p.m. on Thursday, August 4, 2022 a 64-year-old female was struck by a vehicle which fled the scene. The vehicle in question is described as a gray 2000-2005 Toyota Corolla, with heavy passenger side damage and a missing passenger side hubcap. Following the crash, the vehicle turned onto Waverly Place, left onto Lincoln Place, and left onto Prospect Street before crossing over Main Street and continuing on Greenwood Avenue at approximately 5:20 p.m.
The pedestrian sustained non-life threatening injury in the incident and was transported to Morristown Medical Center, where she is receiving treatment. The identity of the individual will not be released at this time.
Madison Police Department is taking the lead on this investigation, with support from Morris County Sherriff’s Office and Morris County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crime Unit.
