Rosenet Webmail Migration to New System on August 11

As a heads up, Rosenet Webmail will be migrating to a new system on August 11, beginning at 6:00pm. 

This will be a hard switchover, so no actions by users will need to be taken until August 12. During the time of switchover, access to Rosenet webmail will NOT be available at your computer, through the web client or on your mobile device. Detailed instructions about what steps are necessary for each user once the migration is completed will be coming soon. 

All of your emails and folders in your current account will be migrated over to the new system and instructions for accessing the new system at your desktop, laptop and mobile device will be available shortly. Note that old emails, your calendar and contacts will take longer to migrate over - they are not lost.  

Technology is working to get all users back up and running, prioritizing those who critically rely on email for day-to-day operations. We anticipate that ALL users will be operational within 48 business hours of migration.

As of this morning, Technology has migrated over 99% of users previous emails, calendar and contacts. Users with larger than normal inboxes will be manually moved over today.

Technology continues to work on the migration of email, calendar and contacts, and anticipates that all migrations, excluding those with large mailboxes, to be completed within the next 15 hours (August 16 at 9:30am). After the full migration is completed, Technology will be visiting each workstation to download the Outlook icon for those who need it. 

Users who have distribution groups will also be receiving access to those, once the migration is completed.

Technology continues to work with Microsoft to continue the migration of email, calendar and contacts. When we have further information on that topic, it will be relayed here and emailed to all Department Heads. 

We are aware that some group emails have not been migrated over, and are working on resoling that as well. We appreciate your patience and cooperation.

Email, calendar and contact migration continues this morning. At present, the only way to access your email is via the internet (Edge, Chrome, Firefix, etc.). Later this week, a desktop icon will be added, to allow easier access, as well as phone access for those who need it.

Users for Boards/Committees/Commissions will be able to log in next week, by contacting Technology. 

Users who have multiple accounts and/or access to multiple calendars should inquire with Technology about arranging that your account is configured correctly.

Users who have been set up can access email by visiting login.microsoftonline.com, and putting in your username and password. 

Note that if you are asked to download the Microsoft Authenticator, please click "Skip for now". This feature is currently not enabled and required for users.

Technology continues to set users up. Users are advised that emails, calendars and contacts through yesterday at 6pm will be migrated over throughout the weekend. You do not need to worry, although they are not currently visible, they will appear before 8am Monday, August 15.

Currently, the only way to access email is via the web client. Desktop icon and mobile access will be available early next week.

The Technology Department has begun visiting each employee with email to get them temporarily set up on the Outlook 365 web client. Users will receive a one time temporary password, and upon logging in, be asked to change it

Technology will begin migrating Rosenet webmail to a new system. All email, calendar, contacts will NOT be available until the migration has been completed. Please do not attempt to send emails, as they will not be delivered.
