Nine Electric Vehicles to be on Display this Earth Day in Madison
EV Expo to be Held at Sunday Motor Co.
Madison, NJ – April 16, 2021 – In partnership with the Environmental Commissions of Madison, Chatham Borough and Chatham Township, the parking lot at Sunday Motor Co. in Madison will be filled with eye-catching Electric Vehicles and bicycles to celebrate Earth Day this coming Thursday, April 22.
From 2:00 to 5:00 pm, area car dealers, including Chevrolet Bolt, Honda Clarity, Tesla Model 3, Porsche Taycan, Karma, Volvo, BMW, VW ID.4, Audi E-tron and Polestar 2 will fill the parking lot to highlight the clean-air benefits, cost-savings and fun provided by the latest hot-off-the-assembly line EV models.
“I love cars; I love racing,” says Nick Vorderman, Owner of Sunday Motor Co. “It’s clear to me that EVs are the future—no doubt about it,” continued Vorderman.
Electric Vehicles will not be the only thing at the expo. Hilltop Bicycles along with Porsche will be displaying electric bikes, while Madison Police Department will bring one of their 2020 Ford Hybrid Police Inceptors.
Representatives from New Jersey’s Clean Energy Program™ will be at the event to provide information about their program, which offers financial incentives, programs, and services for New Jersey residents, and business owners to help them save energy, money, and the environment.
This innovative event is part of Drive Electric Earth Day, a national campaign to share information about electric vehicles throughout the month of April. Madison’s event is one of many online and safe in-person events across the country where electric vehicle dealers, owners and community leaders are raising awareness of the many benefits of electric vehicles.
“A switch to electric vehicles frees Americans from the gas pump and reduces air pollution, plus, these cars and bicycles are incredibly fun, efficient and convenient to drive,” said Mayor Robert H. Conley. “The EV Expo allows the Environmental Commissions of Madison and the Chathams to show the community how real people are enjoying these cars without the need for fuel,” continued Conley. Mayor Thaddeus J. Kobylarz, Chatham Borough and Mayor Tracy Ness, Chatham Township will join Mayor Conley in attendance at the event.
Sunday Motor Co. is located at 27 Kings Road, Madison, New Jersey. During the EV Expo, they will serve a full menu and offer both indoor and outdoor seating, in accordance with the latest executive order.
