Merchants/Employee Parking Permits

The Borough of Madison offers Merchant/Employee parking permits to those who own or are employed by a commercial establishment in the Borough of Madison. 

Parking for Merchant/Employee Permit Holders is available as follows:

  • Cook Avenue Lot: Monday through Saturday, between 7:00 a.m. and 2:00 a.m.
  • Elmer Street Lot: Monday through Saturday, between 7:00 a.m. and 2:00 a.m.
  • Maple Avenue Lot: Monday through Saturday, between 7:00 a.m. and 2:00 a.m.
  • Kings Road Lot: Monday through Saturday, between 9:30 a.m. and 2:00 a.m.
  • Prospect Street Lot: Monday through Sunday, between 9:30 a.m. and 2:00 a.m.

New! Merchant/Employee Permit Designated Street Parking Zones

The locations listed in the table below are hereby designated as Merchant/Employee Permit Street Parking Zones. Vehicles with Merchant/Employee Permits may park in these areas without regard to posted parking time limits. The vehicle must display a parking permit by hanging it on the vehicle's rearview mirror. The permit shall be obtained pursuant to § 134-10.

Registered vehicles must display a valid parking permit by hanging it on the vehicle's rearview mirror.

The parking permit fee is $100.00. In addition, there is a bulk rate available upon request for those looking to acquire six or more permits. To inquire about the bulk rate, please email parking@rosenet.org or call (973) 245-3493. Acceptable forms of payment for parking permits are check and money order. 

In order to obtain a parking permit, Merchant/Employee applicants must provide proof of a Madison commercial address. 

All applicants must upload their vehicle registration. All registrations will be checked through the Motor Vehicle Database. 

Applicants are able to enter vehicle information for up to two cars. Please note that this does not permit the parking of two cars at the same time. Each parked car requires its own permit.
