Sep 25th 2002 meeting on Florham Park Exxon General Development Plan
Many thanks to all those who turned out for the informational town meeting. Here's a picture of the gathering audience -- well over 120 filled an overflowing room at the Madison Borough Hall. Additional seating was provided in another room with a closed circuit TV feed. Madison's Mayor Dunne opened the informal proceedings.

Madison Councilwoman Baillie introduced the speakers. She has been a leader in focusing attention on the issue. Messrs. Plambeck and Bowen (not pictured) gave a presentation on the history of the Exxon campus. They also spoke of Florham Park's recently passed -- and contested -- ordinance governing the development of the property, the developer's (Gale & Rockefeller) plans for the property, and related regional issues.

Madison Environmental Commission Chairman Ernie Cicconi and Dr. George Van Orden (not pictured) talked about the aquifer.

Madison Borough attorney Joe Mezzacca (not pictured) then spoke of the legal challenge to Florham Park's ordinance governing the property, and fielded questions.
