TO:  SUPPORTERS & FRIENDS OF US-Citizens Aviation Watch Association (US-CAWA)
SUBJECT:  URGENT PLEA FOR HELP
FROM:  JACK SAPORITO
DATE:  12/22/2000

As most of you know, I have been heading up and running (for the most part, single-handedly) the day-to-day operations of US-Citizens Aviation Watch Association since its inception.  In doing so, I have depleted my personal savings, worked myself to the point of almost burning out, and have had to postpone several critical projects that would ensure the continuance of the organization and our collective success.

The most critical of these projects is securing and assembling financial reports and other documentation that would enable us to seek grant funding for major projects.  In addition, as a direct result of having no support staff, the organization is not pursuing the collection of annual dues and other important membership projects.

I am sending this letter (the first of its kind, ever) to about 1,000 supporters/friends of US-CAWA who know what we have accomplished and truly value the importance of the organization.

I am writing you to ask for the financial support I need to hire part-time accounting, legal and secretarial help to assist me in these critical projects.  Any donation would be welcomed and I can assure you that all funds will be applied directly to activities that will support the continuance of US-CAWA.

I'm sure you share my vision to create an organization that will be self-sufficient and well funded.  To reach this goal, I urgently need your help in getting through this difficult period of transition.

Please feel free to pass this request on to those that you think would also help.

Please feel free to call or e-mail me to discuss this matter further.

Thank you.

Sincerely,

Jack Saporito

QUEST remarks: US-CAWA is an effective national voice for the cause of quieter skies, and has helped us steer our course in our local struggle for noise relief.  We urge to everyone to consider helping them.
