Airport article plainly one-sided
Morris County Star Ledger

I would like to express my disappointment with the article in the June 9 Morris County section entitled, "No Flight of Fancy -- Airport Gets Upgrade in Ground Facilities."
The article is a one-sided infomercial for the owners and operators of Morristown Municipal Airport and for Signature Flight Support. The article is a flowery description of the expansion under way to accommodate higher volumes of transient corporate air traffic.
In case The Star-Ledger is not aware of it, additional air traffic is the last thing residents of Morris County want. While the article mentions in passing that corporate traffic has doubled in the last few years, it fails to address or even mention projected air traffic volume, noise impacts, or community issues. While you take the time to interview a pilot about the congestion at the airport, you fail to ask residents or aircraft noise groups about how we, the community, feel.
You've provided Signature Flight Support with the equivalent of a wonderful "restaurant review" that they can use to attract more business. I think it is an imperative that you provide updated coverage on the nightmare local resident have to endure because of the growing activities at Morristown Airport. In the future, you should provide balance within the articles you write or at least put the word "advertisement" before the title.
