AIRPORT NOISE POLLUTION: IS THERE A SOLUTION IN SIGHT?  Kristin L.Falzone This is a comprehensive, scholarly report on aircraft noise. (pdf format)
Ocean Routing Ocean Routing is an FAA plan to route noisy traffic over water where possible to reduce noise over populated areas during take-offs and landings.
Morristown Municipal Airport (MMU) MMU is a local airport in Hanover/Florham Park, NJ which is the source of most of the increase in local aviation noise.
Contact MMU to complain about noise One may telephone noise complaints to MMU directly.  (Be advised, the messaging system is rather cumbersome.)
New Jersey Aviation Legislation Legislation in NJ that can impact the amount of noise we hear.  For example, bill A2332 (also listed as S1450) had the potential to limit local influence in airport operations.
New Jersey Aviation Association The industry's slant on issues.  Their newsletters provide insights as to their goals.  Their Vol 1 No.5 issue speaks to helicopter noise, and local authority to regulate it to some degree.
