About The Project's History
In 1976, responding to an
increase in problems involving juveniles, the Madison Police Department
implemented Project Community Pride – a formalized program of volunteer
community services for selected juvenile offenders. In addition, professional
therapists provided counseling for certain adolescents as well as their
families. We have felt a deep obligation to assist other communities
who
request our expertise in replicating part of, or all of, our program.
