Suburban Music Study Club
Summit, NJ 07901 (map)
The Suburban Music Study Club endeavors to promote a high standard of classical musical performance, and supports scholarships for talented and deserving young musicians.
It was founded by Alice Malcolm-Switzer in 1899 as the Music Study Club of Newark. The Club eventually moved from Newark to the Maplewood-Millburn area where meetings were held in private homes. In 1980 the Club moved to its present location, the Chase Room in the Madison Library.
We meet in the Chase Room at the Madison Public Library at 10:30 am on the Second Thursday of each Month
