Madison Athletic Foundation ( MAF)
The Madison Athletic Foundation (MAF), a 501 (c)(3) tax exempt organization, was created in 2006 to promote and support youth athletics in the town of Madison, NJ. The MAF mission is to promote and maintain a strong culture of youth athletics open to all children in the town of Madison. We provide financial support and leadership toward the establishment and maintenance of first-class athletics facilities in Madison. Our success, in partnership with the Borough of Madison and the Madison Board of Education, will help provide the necessary tools for our youth to develop sound athletics skills on safe athletics fields while promoting fitness and wellness for all.
The first project of the MAF was completed in 2007 with the successful installation of artificial turf at Madison High School on Monica Field. The MAF completed a raise of $775,000 to pay for the entire project.
The principal focus of the MAF now is the development of the turf field project recently approved by the Madison Borough Council slated for the recently purchased 49 acres known as the Madison Recreation Center (MRC) . As many of you know this project has been under development for some time and recently received the necessary approvals to begin the first steps toward construction.
The foundations goal for this project is to raise $3.5 million dollars over three years to pay for the costs of the project without burdening the taxpayers of Madison. The MAF has a detailed fund raising plan targeting corporate sponsors, private donors and community support. We encourage all members of our community to donate to the MAF online through this website and help support a very worthwhile cause.
The MAF Advisory Board meets regularly to decide on key issues impacting youth sports in Madison. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to anyone listed on the advisory board with suggestions to help improve our youth athletics programs.
Thank you for your continued support and…
