The Arts Council of the Morris Area, a private, nonprofit agency established in 1973, to bring the arts to the center of community life and transform lives through the arts, received a "Citation of Excellence" and has been named a "Major Service Organization" by the New Jersey State Council on the Arts in recognition of the Council's solid history of artistic excellence, substantial programming, and broad public service.
