Welcome to the Thursday Morning Club's Madison Community House

A United Way Member

Who We Are  The Madison Community House is the dynamic social, civic, educational, and cultural hub for Madison, Florham Park and vicinity, offering multifaceted activities for people from 3 to 93.

From its beginning as a settlement house in 1924, MCH has created programs to meet societal needs as they arise. In addition, the facilities are made available at low or no cost to non-profit groups that otherwise could not afford similar space.

Each year about 35 groups and 50,000 people -- from pre-schoolers to seniors -- congregate in our spacious quarters.

Volunteerism is promoted, community involvement is encouraged, and unity is fostered among a diverse population.

Ours is the only community house owned and operated by a member of the General Federation of Women's Clubs, namely, The Thursday Morning Club, Inc. of Madison, New Jersey.

To find out more about programs or to arrange to for your group to meet here, stop by and introduce yourself. Our office is open from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Mondays to Fridays. If you prefer, call us at 973-377-0244 or fax us at 973-660-0121. You may find yourself fitting in at the Madison Community House too.

All About the Madison Community House

DIRECTOR - Janet Allocco

Office Administrator - Suzanne Caccavale

FACILITIES: The Madison Community has several meeting rooms, two social rooms, two kitchens, a large gymnasium and 3 bathrooms. These rooms are available for rent, and fees have been set according to the room/rooms to be used and the number of people attending. The rooms are used for children's birthday parties, bridal / baby showers, christenings, luncheons, dinners, or any other appropriate social gathering.

The rooms are also available for rent to any organization needing space for long term classes; i.e. Aerobic Dancing, or for a single event ; i.e. a Hunter’s Education Class. Fees are charged by the hour or session and groups must submit insurance information.

The Madison Community House assists non-profit community groups with a place to hold regular monthly meetings or special meetings as needed. This is a service to these community groups. As an example Project Community Pride holds group meetings and sessions on a regular basis. The Madison Community House Seniors also hold a regular meeting and other senior activities at the house.

All time slot scheduling, fee scheduling and Use of House Contracts are handled by the Community House Director, Janet Allocco. Please stop by the House at 25 Cook Avenue, Madison or call 973-377-0244 between the hours of 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM Monday through Friday.
