Programs for the Community

Grace Counseling does up to 80 workshops and lectures each year for community groups. Many of these programs are prepared at the request of the sponsoring organizations.  Here are some recent examples.

Mid-Life – A series of workshops on “Transitions in Mid-Life” for a church congregation in Summit. 

Women’s Issues – In Madison, a lecture on “Women’s Issues and Spirituality” for a women’s group. 

Child Development --  At Peck School in Morristown, a series of lectures on “Phases of Child Development” for a group of parents. 

Listening Skills – In Warren, a lecture to the clergy of the Raritan Valley District of the Methodist Church on “Listening to Your Congregation.” 

Adolescence – A series of workshops for a congregation in Short Hills on “Understand Adolescence.” 

Sibling Rivalry – A workshop for a parents group in Chatham on “Dealing with Sibling Rivalry.” 

Depression and Suicide – A workshop for the youth ministers of the Episcopal Diocese of Newark on “Adolescent Depression and Suicide” in South Orange. 

Aging Parents – A workshop for the Newton Presbytery in Randolph on “Caring for Aging Parents.”

Professional Boundaries – A workshop for the theological students of Drew University on “Professional Boundaries.” 

Marriage Enrichment – A workshop for couples in a congregation in Basking Ridge on “Enriching Your Marriage.” 

Parenting – A workshop for parents on “Parenting Kids Who Have Everything.”
