MADISON ZONING BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT NOTICE OF DECISIONS

NOTICE OF DECISIONS

                                                                          

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that at a special meeting of the Zoning Board of Adjustment of the Borough of Madison held on Thursday, August 26, 2004 at 7:30 PM , in the Board Room of the Hartley Dodge Memorial, Kings Road , Madison , the board took the following action:

   

           RESOLUTIONS MEMORIALIZED

           CASE NO. Z-04-26- Resolution approving the Application of Leslie and Kathleen Hollander, Block 4804, Lot 15, 14 Barnsdale Road , Madison , requesting permission to construct a one-story addition, second story Addition, Front Foyer, 2-level deck and Brick Paver Walkway was adopted.

            CASE NO. Z-04-27-Resolution approving the Application of Michael and Katherine Dailey, Block 0803, Lot 3, 20 West End Avenue , Madison , requesting permission to construct a second story addition, one-story addition and FlagStone Patio was adopted.

           CASE NO. Z-04-29-Resolution approving the Application of Daniel and Madeline Baulig, Block 0906, Lot 9, 8 Longview Avenue , Madison , requesting permission to construct a second     story addition was adopted.

          CASE NO. Z-04-30-Resolution approving the Application of Nancy Northrup and Allen Black, Block 3701, Lot 3, 64 Green Avenue , Madison , requesting permission to construct a 1 Story Addition (Sun Room) was adopted.  

           CASE NO. Z -04-31-Resolution approving the Application of  Robert G. Van Hook, Block 0913, Lot 22, 1 Hillview Avenue , Madison , requesting permission to construct a 1 Story Addition onto the existing single family dwelling was adopted.

           CASE NO Z-04-32-Resolution approving the Application of Dominick Ottomanelli, Block 2305, Lot 13, 10 Fletcher Place , Madison , requesting permission to construct a 1 Story Frame Addition onto the existing dwelling was adopted.                                

          CASE NO. Z03-41 -Amended application of Madison Honda requesting an interpretation of the Zoning Ordinance and appealing pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:55D-72a the Zoning Officer's zoning violation notices as to off-site parking and in the alternative requesting preliminary and final site plan approval, use variance and bulk variances so as to authorize existing off-site parking activity on property located at 285 Main Street (Block 5101, Lot 24) and also requesting preliminary and final site plan approval, use variance and bulk variances so as to modernize its facility on property located in a CC (Community Commercial) Zone and R-3 (Residential) Zone at 280 Main Street (Block 2208, Lots 23, 24 & 25).

            The Board of Adjustment adopted oral resolutions, subject to memorialization, for the following decisions:

 

1.  The Board upheld the decision of the Zoning Officer that the parking of vehicles by Madison Honda at the Rose City site located at 285 Main Street was not authorized.

 

2.  The Board denied the request in the alternative for use variance and other approvals to allow the parking of vehicles by Madison Honda at the Rose City site located at 285 Main Street .

3.  The Board granted the use variances and bulk variances to allow the applicant, Madison Honda to modernize its facility at 280 Main Street .  The approval was subject to site plan approval, which will be the subject of further proceedings before the Zoning Board of Adjustment.
