ZONING BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT

                 NOTICE OF DECISIONS

 

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that at a special meeting of the Zoning Board of Adjustment

of the Borough of Madison, held on Tuesday, June 15, 2004, at 7:30 PM, in the Board Room

of the Hartley Dodge Memorial Building, Kings Road, Madison, New Jersey, the following

action was taken:

 

             Minutes for Approval

            Special Meeting Minutes for 05/26/04 was adopted as corrected.

 

            RESOLUTIONS FOR MEMORIALIZATION AND ROLL CALL VOTE

            CASE NO. Z-04-07- Resolution approving the Application of Jonathan & Suzanne

            Shelby, Block 4102, Lot 2, 77 Midwood Terrace, Madison was adopted.

     

            CASE NO. Z-04-12 -Resolution approving the Application of Ronald and Jennifer

            Boyer, Block 0906, Lot 8, 10 Longview Avenue, Madison was adopted.

 

            CASE NO. Z-04-14 -Resolution approving the Application of Fred and Jane Thierman,

            Block 0804, Lot 2, 11 Leigh Drive, Madison was adopted.

 

            CASE NO. Z-04-15- Resolution approving the Application of David and Michele Johnson,

            Block 3101, Lot 28, 4 Ross Court, Madison was adopted.

 

           OLD BUSINESS

            CASE NO. Z-04-10 Application of Doug and Melissa Griffie, Block 1001, Lot 49,

            138 Central Avenue requesting permission to construct a 1 and 2 story addition

            (attaching existing detached Garage to existing Principal Structure), proposed 2nd story

            addition to Principal Structure, proposed 2nd story addition to existing Garage, proposed Wood

            Deck on property located in a R-3 Zone District, requiring a variance for minimum side

            yard setback (Garage) (Deck) and maximum impervious coverage. The public hearing on the

            application was continued and in lieu of a vote, it was carried at the applicant's request to the

            June 22 meeting for further discussion and a possible revision to the proposal. No further

            notice required.

                  

           CASE NO. Z-04-11 Application of Vendel & Ellen Kovach, Block 3901, Lot 50,

           10 Arlena Court, Madison to maintain the existing enclosed porch (constructed

           without Zoning & Construction Reviews & Permits) on property located in a R-3 Zone

           District, requiring a variance for minimum rear yard setback, maximum principal

           building coverage, maximum impervious coverage was approved subject to certain conditions.

           Action to be memorialized at a later date.

 

          CASE NO. Z-04-13 Application of Michael and Christine Mullen, Block 1004, Lot 16.2,

          165 Central Avenue, Madison to construct a one-story addition and 2nd story addition primarily

          in place of existing deck in rear yard to re-design the kitchen to allow for more efficient use of

          space and to expand dining room to accommodate the applicant's family. The property is located

          in a R-3 Zone District, requiring a variance for minimum side yard setback, maximum principal

          building and maximum impervious coverage was approved subject to certain conditions. Action

          to be memorialized at a later date.

 

         CASE NO. Z-04-16 Application of Stephen P. Adamowitz, Block 0701, Lot 3, 12 Valevue

         Avenue, Madison to construct proposed 1 and 2-story addition, Deck and Driveway on property

         located in a R-3 Zone District, requiring aVariance for minimum side yard setback was approved

         subject to certain conditions. Action to be memorialized at a later date.

 CASE NO. Z-04-17 Application of Robert and Martha Baisch, Block 3601, Lot 26, 24 Hillside

 Avenue, Madison to construct an unenclosed Front Porch, Sidewalk and Driveway Modifications

 on property located in a R-2 Zone District, requiring a Variance for minimum front yard setback

 was approved subject to certain conditions. Action to be memorialized at a later date.

 

 CASE NO. Z-04-18 Application of Carmine DeCaro, Block 1101, Lot 4, 41 Park Avenue,

 Madison, to construct a one-story addition on property located in a R-4 (Single Family Residential)

 Zone District, requiring a Variance for maximum principal building coverage and minimum side yard

 setback was approved subject to certain conditions. Action to be memorialized at a later date.

 

 CASE NO. Z-04-19 Application of Edwin A. Boyer, Block 4503, Lot 6, 12 Candlewood Drive,

 Madison to construct a one-story addition on property located in a R-1 Zone District, requiring a

 Variance for maximum impervious coverage and maximum principal building coverage was

  approved subject to certain conditions. Action to be memorialized at a later date.

 

  CASE NO. Z-04-21 Application of Steve Sherman and Deanna Schwarz, Block 3001, Lot 24,

  41 Green Village Road, Madison to construct a 2 story addition to the existing dwelling and to

  erect a deck on property located in a R-2 Zone District, requiring a Variance for minimum side

  yard setback, minimum rear yard setback, and maximum principal building coverage, maximum

  impervious coverage and front yard encroachment was approved subject to certain conditions.

 Action to be memorialized at a later date.

 

  CASE NO. Z-04-22 Application of John V. Allocca and Severio Allocca/Kings Court Developers,

  LLC, Block 4502, Lot 5, 47 Garfield Avenue, Madison to construct a 2-1/2 story dwelling located

  in a R-1 Zone District, requiring a Variance for minimum lot area and minimum lot width. The

  Board made a determination that variance relief was not required based on Section 195-36G.

 

  CASE NO. Z-04-23 Application of William and Joan Johnson, Block 3601, Lot 32, 14 Green Hill

  Road, Madison to construct a one-story addition, front porch, deck and detached garage located in

  a R-2 Zone District, requiring a Variance for minimum side yard setback, maximum principal building

  coverage, maximum impervious coverage and maximum accessory structure height was carried to

  Tuesday, June 22, 2004. No further notice required.

 

 OTHER BUSINESS-The date for the regular July meeting was changed to Tuesday, July 20, 2004.
