The municipal welfare department administers the Work First New Jersey/ General Assistance program. This program services single adults and childless couples. Benefits may include cash assistance, limited medical assistance, and other emergency services. The eligibility for this program is based on both financial and non-financial requirements.

Individuals who wish to obtain information about this program can call the welfare office with questions or to arrange an appointment.

Households which include dependent children should direct any inquires about financial assistance to the Morris County Office of Temporary Assistance.
