Getting Around Town

Dial-A-Ride FREE van service is available to Madison residents 3 days a week, 9:30-2:30, curb to curb, within the boundaries of Madison.  There are three daily stops at Chateau Thierry housing (9:45 - 11:15 - 1:15); all other residents call on morning of trip. 12 passenger van has wheelchair lift; must be accompanied by aide. All passengers must board without assistance and must wear seat belts. Drivers: Melvin Burgette and Judy Snyder.

 

Dial-A-Ride Senior Center Van - How to schedule Call 973-593-3095 between 8:30-9:00am on the day you wish to ride: Monday, Tuesday or Thursday. No Service November 27, 28; December 25, 26 and January 1                 

Special Trips - Senior Center Van

The van will stop at Shop Rite every Monday of the month unless indicated. Drop-off at 10:00am, pick-up at 11:00am.

Mall Trip: Willowbrook Mall, Wednesday, December 10; 10am - 2pm; sign-up required

Medical Appointments - Van service on Fridays to Morristown-area medical appointments. Call 973-593-3095 at least one week in advance of appointment to schedule a ride.  

MAPS Morris Area Paratransit System (MAPS) offers weekday medical transportation service in Morris County. Call 973-829-8103 one week in advance to arrange a ride. Service has expanded to include Overlook Hospital, St. Barnabas Hospital and Summit Medical Group. There is a shuttle service with pick-up at 10:00 and return at 12:30 on Mondays and Wednesdays.    
RIDEPROVIDE This is a non-profit transportation service offering personalized, low-cost, door-to-door transportation to seniors and people with physical disabilities. Drivers will take you, in sedans, to activities of your choice, such as medical appointments, visits with friends and family, attendance at community events, religious activities, personal and grocery shopping, hair dresser or barber appointments, seeing a movie or going to the gym. Rides will be provided up to a 20-mile radius of your home; you can cross county lines. Hours will be 8:00am to 6:00pm (except holidays). Fares will be $8 within one town; $10 town adjacent to start point; $12 two towns from start point; $14 three towns from start point; $20 beyond three towns within 20 miles.
