Dial-A-Ride FREE van service is available to Madison residents 5 days a week, Monday through Friday, 9:15-2:30, curb-to-curb, within the boundaries of Madison. There are two daily stops at Chateau Thierry housing, 10:30am and 1:00pm. All other residents call 973-593-3095 between 8:30-9:00am day of trip. The 12-passenger van has wheelchair lift, passengers must have an aide if necessary and all must wear seat belts.
Stop & Shop: daily, Monday through Friday
10:30am drop-off , 11:30am pick-up AND 1:00pm drop-off, 2:00pm pick-up
Shop Rite: two days per week, Monday & Thursday
10:00am drop-off , 11:00am pick-up
All riders must call between 8:30 and 9:00 for a ride to Shop-Rite. Chateau Thierry residents need not call for Stop & Shop. Maximum 4 bags in consideration of other riders. For those who need more time to shop, we suggest you consider two shopping days each week.
MALL TRIP: Livingston Mall, Wednesday, Sept. 10. Drop-off 9:45am, pick-up 12:15. Call 973-593-3095 call for a reservation. Preference given to regular van riders. Must have at least 4 people to run trip.
MAPS (Morris Area Paratransit System) provides transportation for medical appointments throughout Morris County with stops at St. Barnabas Hospital, Overlook Hospital, and the Summit Medical Group. Call 973-829-8103 at least one week in advance for a ride.
Meals on Wheels
Deliveries are made to residents of Madison and Florham Park who are homebound due to illness or unable to prepare meals. Volunteers deliver on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays between 10:00 and 1:00pm. A $2.00 donation/meal is requested. Sponsored by the Morris County Nutrition Project. Midday Friendship Center
Congregate meals provided by the Morris County Nutrition Project. Monday, Wednesday and Friday 11:00-1:00 at 15 Chateau Thierry, 973-822-3129. Call to reserve a space. $2.00 donation per meal.
SHIP (Senior Health Insurance Program)
Health insurance, medical billing and Medicare counseling.

Daily telephone calls are made to the elderly homebound living in Morris County. The program is staffed by volunteers who make daily calls to check on the well being of clients and make referrals to area agencies when needed. If a client cannot be reached, every effort is made to locate the client and ensure their welfare. To register call VMC (Volunteer Management Center) 973-538-7200, ext. 12.
