2013 Schedule/Newsletter

Household Hazardous Waste Day
The County will be hosting a Household Hardardous Waste Disposal Day on SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 8th from 9am - 2pm. The event will be located at the Firefighter & Police Training Academy, 500 West Hanover Ave. Randolph NJ (just west of Greystone). District 1 Paper Recycling 1/5
Attention Madison residents in District 1: This Monday, January 1st was a recycling holiday. As such, District 1 paper recycling will be picked up Thursday, January 5th. If you have any questions please contact the Department of Public Works at 973-593-3088.
Garbage Collection
Attention Madison Residents! Effective September 1, 2011 through April 30, 2012, residential garbage collection will occur once per week. Fridge/Freezer Recycling Program Extended!
Update April 4, 2011...As per NJ Clean Energy, funding for this program has been exhausted and as such, it is no longer available. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx The Energy Star Refrigerator/Freezer Recycling Program is available for your old working refrigerator or freezer. Recieve $50 for recycling these working appliances. Call 877-270-3520 to schedule a free pick up of your old refrigerator or freezer. Madison residents MAY qualify for an incentive ONLY if you purchase a new ENERGY STAR® qualified refrigerator. This offer is valid until June 30, 2011 or while funding lasts. A legible copy of a dated and itemized sales receipt is required. Restrictions apply, please call 866-NJSMART for more information.
