NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that sealed bids for the NEW ROOF – BAYLEY-ELLARD HIGH SCHOOL BUILDING will include an acknowledgement of this ADDENDUM #1 by the Borough of Madison, County of Morris, State of New Jersey. The ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF CHANGE form included in the bid documents on page 54 must be completed. Addendum #1 consists of a change in the bid specifications as stated below:

DETAILED SPECIFICATIONS FOR
NEW ROOF – BAYLEY-ELLARD HIGH SCHOOL BUILDING

The Bayley-Ellard High School building at 205 Madison Avenue, Madison, NJ needs a new flat roof installed above the classrooms. The specifics are below:

Roof size = approximately 18,000 square feet

10-year warranty for membrane by GAF

3-year workmanship warranty by Bidder

Clean all water and debris from entire roof

Remove existing roof covering to a suitable substrate

Prep the surface for a new roof

Protect surrounding areas from falling debris with tarps and plywood

Install a GAF (or equivalent) Rubberoid Modified Bitumen flat roof system over the existing flat roof (torch applied)

Color to be white (white color is to be painted on after the new roof is installed)

All seams will be lapped per manufacturer’s specifications or, barring any manufacturer’s specifications, a minimum 6" on ends and sidelaps will be minimum 3"

Flash all penetrations

Replace all roof edging

Clean up all debris on roof and surrounding ground area with blowers, rakes, magnets, etc.

Remove all debris
