NOTICE
IS HEREBY GIVEN that sealed bids will be received by the Borough of Madison,
County of Morris, State of New Jersey, in the Planning Board Room, 2nd Floor,
Hartley Dodge Memorial, 50 Kings Road, Madison, New Jersey on FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER
1, 2006 AT 10:00 A.M. prevailing
time, and at that time will be publicly opened and read for the PURCHASE
OF A NEW SCREEN MACHINE - REBID #2. Bid prices shall remain firm for a period of sixty (60) days.
In addition to the proposal, each bidder may be required to submit a statement of his/her qualifications, financial ability, and a non-collusion affidavit. Failure to submit same with the proposal may result in rejection of the bid. All bids must be submitted on the Proposal Forms furnished by the Borough. Bids on any other forms will not be accepted. Bid documents and specifications are available at the Borough Clerk's Office, Hartley Dodge Memorial, 50 Kings Road, Madison, NJ from 8:00 A.M. – 4:30 P.M., Monday - Friday.
Bids
shall be addressed to the Borough Clerk, Borough of Madison, Hartley Dodge
Memorial, 50 Kings Road, Madison, New Jersey 07940.
Each Proposal must be enclosed in a SEALED ENVELOPE, properly
endorsed with the name of the Bidder, with the designation "BOROUGH OF
MADISON, SEALED BID, PURCHASE OF A NEW SCREEN MACHINE - REBID #2, SEPTEMBER 1,
2006, 10:00 A.M.". Any
envelope that is received that is not properly marked causing it to be opened
prior to the bid will be invalidated.
Bids may be received before the hour designated in this office, if they
are mailed or hand delivered in person. The
Borough of Madison will not be responsible for any bid that is sent by mail or
other form of carrier which is lost or which arrives after the bid date and
time, FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 1, 2006 at 10:00
a.m.
Bidders are required
to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. and N.J.A.C. 17:27.
The
Borough of Madison reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any
informalities therein and to accept any bid that will be in the best interest of
the Borough of Madison, New Jersey according to N.J.S.A. 40A:11-1. The
Borough of Madison reserves the right to make separate purchase awards for
various sizes and kinds of materials or equipment required, based on the low
unit bids submitted on such items.
The Borough of Madison reserves the right to delete sections of work from the contract after the award of the bid has been made due to funding or other reasons. The prices bid for various items of work shall not be adjusted due to the deletion of any work due to the variation of any quantity for the various items scheduled in the Proposals.
