Leaf Collection 2013

The Borough offers 3 methods of leaf collection:

Containers or bags at the curb*
This is the prefered method. Weekly curbside collection of yard waste in containers will continue until December 18, 2013. Free bags are available at the public works garage beginning on October 15, 2013
Bring your leaves to the Municipal Garage
Residents may bring leaves to the municipal garage on weekdays from October 28 through December 6, 2013. Commercial dumping is not permitted at the municipal garage .
Rake leaves to the curb
This is the least preferred method of preparing your leaves for removal. It is inefficient, labor intensive and can cause problems with traffic and storm water management

Collection will start on October 28, 2013 and weather permitting will continue until early December. December 6 is the last day to put your leaves out to the curb. In order to make curbside collection of leaves more efficient, please place your leaves in the street; this allows our workforce to use front end loadersfor pickup when leaves are wet.

Please call the Deparment of Public Works at 973-593-3088 if you need any additional information.

*Note: Using containers or bags will increase efficiency and maximize the use of your taxes.
