Keep Out Of Mischief Night 2007
The
Madison Police Department hosted it's 6th Annual "Keep
out of Criminal Mischief Night" on Tuesday October 30th
2007 at the
Clearview Madison Cinema, 14 Lincoln Place Madison. This
years event featured a viewing of the recent box office hit
"Shrek 3" beginning at 6:30 pm.
The
event was intended to provide an alternative choice for
children on 'Mischief Night'; instead of walking the streets of
Madison, and engaging in inappropriate conduct that
normally occurs on 'Mischief Night'.
The
Madison Police Department has developed partnerships in
sponsoring this years event with the Madison Teen Center, the
Madison Alliance Against Substance Abuse (MAASA), Coviello
Brothers Inc, Dewey's Comic City, Torey J, Kings Road and
Central Ave schools PTO's, Project Community Pride, the
Morristown Municipal Airport, and the Madison PBA Local #92.
Each
student in the Borough's school district between grades 3-6
received permission slips to attend the event.
This
years event featured a new activity for the older
students in grades 6,7&8. The police department invited those students to the Madison YMCA for a fun "Teen
Night" from 7pm-9:15 pm. Police officers and YMCA
staff was on hand with games, movies and a video game
contest. A dodge ball tournament was set up between
students and members of the Madison Police Department.
The
October 30th events were open to Madison School District students
only.
