ORDINANCE 60-2006

 

ORDINANCE OF THE BOROUGH OF MADISON AMENDING ORDINANCE 28-2005 TO APPROPRIATE AN ADDITIONAL $19,053.22 FROM THE GENERAL CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT FUND FOR THE 2005 ROAD RECONSTRUCTION PROJECT THEREBY INCREASING ORDINANCE 28-2005 TO $379,053.22

 

 

WHEREAS, Ordinance 28-2005 of the Borough of Madison appropriated $360,000.00 from the General Capital Improvement Fund for the 2005 Road Reconstruction Project which includes milling, overlay, reconstruction, sidewalk and curb replacement to Hillside Avenue and Alma Avenue, and overlay of Wayne Boulevard, Anthony Drive and part of Greenwood Avenue; and

WHEREAS, the Borough Engineer has recommended that the Borough amend Ordinance 28-2005 to appropriate an additional $19,053.22 from the General Capital Improvement Fund thereby increasing Ordinance 28-2005 to $379,053.22 to provide for the final payment to Jenicar Builders for the 2005 Road Improvement Program so these projects can be closed out; and

WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has attested to the availability of the funds in the General Capital Improvement Fund in an amount not to exceed $19,053.22 for this purpose; and

WHEREAS, the Borough Council has determined that the Borough should amend Ordinance 28-2005 to appropriate an additional $19,053.22 from the General Capital Improvement Fund thereby increasing Ordinance 28-2005 to $379,053.22 to provide for the final payment to Jenicar Builders for the 2005 Road Improvement Program so these projects can be closed out.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the Borough of Madison, in the County of Morris and State of New Jersey, as follows:

SECTION 1: Ordinance 28-2005 is amended to appropriate $19,053.22 from the General Capital Improvement Fund thereby increasing Ordinance 28-2005 to $379,053.22 to provide for the final payment to Jenicar Builders for the 2005 Road Improvement Program so these projects can be closed out.

SECTION 2: The budget of the Borough is hereby amended to conform with the provisions of this Ordinance.

SECTION 3: This Ordinance shall take effect as provided by law.
