ORDINANCE 1-2006
ORDINANCE OF THE BOROUGH OF MADISON APPROPRIATING $26,000.00 FROM THE GENERAL CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT FUND FOR ENVIRONMENTAL PHASE 2 INVESTIGATION OF BOROUGH PROPERTY LOCATED AT BLOCK 4312, LOTS 14, 15 AND 16 COMMONLY KNOWN AS 22 ORCHARD STREET
WHEREAS, the Borough Engineer has recommended that the Borough appropriate $26,000.00 from the General Capital Improvement Fund for a Phase 2 Environmental Investigation of Property located at Block 4312, Lots 14, 15 and 16 commonly known as 22 Orchard Street; and
WHEREAS, the Borough has previously had a Phase 1 Environmental Investigation performed on said property; and
WHEREAS, Ordinance 20-2004 appropriated $36,000.00 for both a Phase 1 Investigation and a Phase 2 Investigation; and
WHEREAS, the Borough Engineer has advised the Borough Council that there are insufficient funds remaining to conduct the Phase 2 Environmental Investigation.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the Borough of Madison, in the County of Morris, State of New Jersey as follows:
SECTION 1: The amount of $26,000.00 is hereby appropriated from the General Capital Improvement Fund for Environmental Phase 2 Investigation of property owned by the Borough located at Block 4312, Lots 14, 15 and 16, commonly known as 22 Orchard Street.
SECTION 2: The budget of the Borough is hereby amended to conform with the provisions of this Ordinance.
SECTION 3: This Ordinance shall take effect as provided by law.
