ORDINANCE 46-2005

 

ORDINANCE OF THE BOROUGH OF MADISON AMENDING ORDINANCE 37-2005 TO APPROPRIATE AN ADDITIONAL $17,945.44 FROM THE GENERAL CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT FUND FOR THE 2005 ROAD RECONSTRUCTION PROJECT

WHEREAS, Ordinance 37-2005 appropriated an additional $45,000.00 from the General Capital Improvement Fund for the 2005 Road Reconstruction Project, to include milling, overlay, reconstruction, sidewalk and curb replacement to Anthony Drive, Wayne Boulevard and Sayre Court; and

WHEREAS, the Superintendent of Public Works has recommended that the Borough amend Ordinance 37-2005 to appropriate $62,945.44 from the General Capital Improvement Fund to include the unanticipated additional cost in the amount of $17,945.44 for police overtime and additional tonnage required to pave Anthony Drive, Wayne Boulevard and Sayre Court; and

WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has attested to the availability of the funds in the General Capital Improvement Fund in an amount not to exceed $17,945.44 for this purpose; and

WHEREAS, the Borough Council has determined that the Borough should amend Ordinance 37-2005 to appropriate $62,945.44 from the General Capital Improvement Fund to include the unanticipated additional cost in the amount of $17,945.44 for police overtime and additional tonnage required to pave Anthony Drive, Wayne Boulevard and Sayre Court.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the Borough of Madison, in the County of Morris and State of New Jersey, as follows:

SECTION 1: Ordinance 37-2005 is amended to appropriate amount of $62,945.44 from the General Capital Improvement Fund for the 2005 Road Reconstruction Project to include the unanticipated additional cost in the amount of $17,945.44 of police overtime and additional tonnage required to pave Anthony Drive, Wayne Boulevard and Sayre Court.

SECTION 2: The budget of the Borough is hereby amended to conform with the provisions of this Ordinance.

SECTION 3: This Ordinance shall take effect as provided by law.
