The Madison Fire Department
is in need of volunteer firefighters.
All potential candidates must be at least 18 years of age and out of high school.  Members dedicate their time and talent to answer hundreds of emergency calls each year.  In addition, they attend monthly business meetings and weekly drills. Once
a candidate has been accepted into the volunteer company, and is approved by Borough Council, said candidate will be considered a "probationary firefighter."

Candidates are required to attend Fire Academy training courses, Firefighter I & Firefighter II, during their probationary period.  All volunteer firefighters must attend training drills on Monday evenings, meetings, and 60% of Fire Calls.
