Minutes:  The minutes of the November 29, 2007 meeting are not yet available. The minutes of the February 28, 2008 meeting were submitted for approved.

Guest Speaker:

John Punola – Madison resident. John spoke of his concern about the large deer population and its impact on the environment. He provided recent research documents. Members of the MEC explained that we had completed similar research and prepared a report with recommendations to the Borough Council, at which point all progress stopped. Jim Greene will provide a copy of the MEC report to John Punola. We recommended that John pursue this issue with the Council as a citizen.

Old Business:

·        2008 budget for MEC. No information on the approved amount, but Astri informed us on May 2 that the approved budget is $5,450. This is $250 more than the previous year, but less than the $6,700 requested. The larger amount was requested so that we could provide seed money for some environmental projects that would improve the Borough.
