BOROUGH OF MADISON
NOTICE OF PUBLIC INFORMATION MEETING REGARDING
GARFIELD AVENUE RECONSTRUCTION PROJECT
SEPTEMBER 26, 2005 AT 6 P.M.

PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENT

Based on considerable public interest in the State Funded Garfield Avenue Reconstruction Project, currently in design phase and scheduled for bidding in late 2005, award in early 2006 and a construction start in spring 2006, the Borough Engineer will hold an informational public meeting at the Hartley Dodge Memorial Building in the Council Chambers preceding the next regular open public meeting of the Borough Council.  Design phase for the project will be concluded by October 24, 2005.

The informational meeting will be held on September 26, 2005 at 6:00 p.m., in order to provide all Garfield Avenue residents directly affected by construction with an opportunity to understand, discuss and comment upon the design plans to date. A design consultant will also be present to answer detailed technical questions if they arise.  Individual announcements are anticipated via mail to Garfield Road residents prior to the next hearing, to be sure residents are aware of the meeting.

If any resident wishes to make comments directly to the governing body, they may do so at the formal Council meeting, which begins public session at 7:45 p.m. that same evening in the Council Chamber
