INSPECTIONS

FOR ALL INSPECTIONS CALL (973)593-3064 - WHEN CALLING FOR INSPECTIONS PLEASE GIVE US YOUR PERMIT NUMBER, ADDRESS, AND TYPE OF INSPECTION REQUIRED.  NOTE:  ELECTRICAL AND FIRE INSPECTIONS ARE ON TUESDAYS AND THURSDAYS.

REQUIRED INSPECTIONS N.J.A.C.  5:23-2.18

NEW BUILDINGS - ADDITIONS - RENOVATIONS

1. Footing inspection (prior to pouring concrete)

2. Backfill of foundation (including footing drains when applicable)

3. a. Electrical rough wiring   b. Fire smoke detector location inspection (BY FIRE INSPECTOR)

4. Rough plumbing

5. Framing

6. Basement floor/garage floor (prior to pouring)

7. Insulation

8. Final electric

9. Final plumbing

10. Final building

11. Final fire protection

12. Water meter inspection (new dwellings)

WOOD AND COAL-BURNING APPLIANCES AND MASONRY FIREPLACES

1. Footing inspection

2. Throat and smoke chamber inspection

3. U.L. listed premanufactured metal chimneys and fireplaces (a rough inspection, by the Fire Inspector, prior to covering any openings around chimney connectors where they pass through walls, ceilings, rooms, attics or roofs)

4. Final (when all work has been completed)

INGROUND POOLS

1. Bond beam prior to backfill for liner pools/rebar on concrete pools

2. Electrical

3. Plumbing

4. Final (to include fencing)
