The Borough of Madison will be hosting a Rain Barrel Workshop at Memorial Park on Rosedale ave on May 19th from 9am to 12pm. Supplies for the workshop are supplied by Rutgers Cooperative extension and the event will be co- sponsored by the Whippany River Watershed Action Committee.

Rain barrels can be attached to your downspouts to capture runoff from the roof. Rain water is naturally soft and the water your rain barrel will collect is ideal for washing your car and watering your plants. Using Rainwater is easy and natural.

The fee for the workshop is $60.00 and you go home with a rain barrel to help make their properties more eco-friendly. Please contact is Mary O'Keefe to register at the info@wrwac.org before May 15th
