Borough Council Meeting Mayor and Council

NOTICE, that the Regular Meeting of the Mayor and Council of the Borough of Madison, County of Morris and State of New Jersey, scheduled for April 14, 2014 is rescheduled for April 11, 2014 to begin at 5:00 p.m. and immediately adjourn to Executive Session. The public session of the Regular Meeting will reconvene at the usual time of 6:00 p.m. in the 2nd Floor Council Chamber. 2014 Pfizer 5K Run with Pride Project Community Pride

Pfizer 5K Run with Pride On Wednesday May 21, 2014 Pfizer will host a USATF sanctioned 5K run to benefit Project Community Pride at Giralda Farms. Madison Public Library Library

The Madison Public Library will re-open on Saturday, April 5 at 10am. Thank you for your patience during our extended closing.

Asbestos Remediation at the Madison Public Library Library

The Madison Public Library is currently closed for an asbestos abatement project. The project is taking longer than had been anticipated, and will continue for most of this week. Madison Library patrons may use their library cards at the other public libraries in Morris County. Items on hold may be picked up in the Madison Library's Chase Auditorium during the following times: Friday, March 28 - 10 am - 6 pm Saturday, March 29 - noon - 4 pm Monday, March 31 - 10 am - 6 pm Tuesday, April 1 - 10 am - 1 pm; 4 - 6 pm Wednesday, April 2 - 10 am - 1 pm; 4 - 6 pm

2014 Roads Contract Award Engineering Department

The Mayor and Council awarded a construction contract for the 2014 Road Improvement Program via Resolution 97-2014 on March 24, 2014. The general contractor will be Cifelli & Sons Construction, Inc. of Nutley, NJ. Once contracts, bonds and insurances are approved over two weeks there will be a preconstruction meeting for scheduling work crews. It is anticipated work can be initiated by May.

Yard Waste Collection Public Works Department

Yardwaste collection has been postponed from March 17th to March 31st because of snow.

Informal Public Hearing Engineering Department

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE, that all residents of the Borough of Madison are invited to a Special Public Information Meeting called by the Mayor and Council of the Borough of Madison for Thursday, March 20, 2014 at 6:00 p.m. in the Court Room, First Floor, West Wing of the Hartley Dodge Memorial Building, Kings Road, in the Borough of Madison to review certain Capital Projects. FURTHER NOTICE, that a presentation will include recent plans, specifications and estimates in order to illustrate the scope of work and design intent; and interested parties will have an opportunity for comment upon the projects presented. FURTHER NOTICE, that documents pertaining to the above Capital Projects are on file and available for public inspection at the Office of the Borough Engineer, Monday through Friday, between the hours of 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., second floor, Hartley Dodge Memorial. FURTHER NOTICE, that no official action will be taken at this meeting.
